The entire reason this blog came to pass stems from its name’s sake, Girlfriends Are For Sundays.  What does that mean, you may ask?  Allow me to share with you the thought process behind the profound statement that is the cornerstone of this blog.

When I was college, Binghamton University, Vestal, NY,  I made the mistake of wasting valuable time with girlfriends.  At the time, consistent and effortless ass was like investing in Apple.  Why would I risk my easy money to gamble with a risky investment? 

Was it lazy?  Yes.  Was I getting pussy whenever I wanted?  Another yes.

But then the two inevitable events in a man’s young life happened…

1. The same old pussy got really boring.
2. Opportunities for other pussy was passing me by.

So it came to a pass to young collegian with options.  No need for a girlfriend.

Mondays were for Monday Night Football.  Who the hell wants a girlfriend in your ear for that.

Tuesdays were a good day to go out (drink specials only) or get work done in preparation for upcoming weekend.

Wednesdays were also a good day to catch up, schedule whatever work needed to be done, or go out.

Thursdays were simply for going out.

Fridays were an amazing night to go out.

Saturdays were, of course, for going out.

On none of these days or occasions does having a girlfriend behoove you.  A wise man once said, “You don’t bring sand to the beach.”

Now, after a week of your girlfriend hounding you to spend time with her, on a hung-over, lazy Sunday, not during football season of course, was the perfect to clock in.  When all the money was spent during the week on one’s self and one’s own debauchery, Sunday morning, lying around, unloading your manhood into your female receptacle because you’re so overloaded from striking out on Saturday, perhaps all week, is an ideal time to have a girlfriend.  Sundays never lend themselves to drink specials…and if they do, girls didn’t go out on Sunday nights.  If I guy could get close the deal with some new strange on a Sunday, you’re an upper echelon alpha male, or in the Hamptons in the height of summer.

Therefore, Sunday is declared, girlfriend day.  The day that she gets that will keep her quiet for another six days while you try to get ’some’ from somewhere else all week long.

That is how it came to pass, that Girlfriends are for Sundays.
