It’s imperative that today’s man not become complacent about his appearance and let himself go. Single and looking or married and content, there’s no excuse for a man to not take pride in his personal appearance. His physique, his grooming, and his clothes should always be kept up, but this isn’t what this article is about. This article is about the four jewels that are the most important in stating to society who you are, what you’re about, and how you want the world to perceive you.

Tiger Woods made a 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational by a shot, extending his PGA Tour winning streak to five and keeping intact a perfect season in golf. It’s been some time since anyone has challenged him like Bart Bryant did on Sunday. But nevertheless, Woods remains dominant and perfect in in over 6-months of world play. A near perfect round’s only blemish was a three putt on the back-nine simply caused by a lack of concentration, in my opinion.

Early in the year, Tiger was asked what he thought his chances were to win the Grand Slam in 2008 and answered in the affirmative that the likelihood was strong. At the time, I felt as though he may have been overstepping bounds, even for someone with the ability of Woods. But now, only 3 1/2 months into the season, it’s clear to see why he made such a claim.

My advice to all lovers of the PGA and history…don’t miss a swing that Tiger takes this year. History will be made in 2008.

Tiger posted an impressive 66 on Saturday to vault himself from 20th place to a six-way tie for 1st. Tiger looks to continue his streak of PGA tour victories with an impressive showing today in the final round.

“I’ve played myself right back in the tournament,” Woods said after shooting 6-under-par 66 at the Bay Hill Club, which at the time had him two shots back of Watney but by the end of the day found him tied for the lead with Sean O’Hair, Bubba Watson, Bryant and Singh.

Krista Allen is one of the hottest chicks of all time. I’m not ashamed to say that I used to watch Days of Our Lives, muted, just to see her. She’s had small parts in Emanuele in Space, What About Brian, Smallville, and, Liar Liar. She’s one for the ages.

The Howard Stern Show is still the greatest radio program of all time….but at one time, it was better. The parting of ways between Jackie Martling and the Stern Show isn’t exactly when the show jumped the shark, but it hasn’t been the same since.

Martling contributed more to the show as a bit writer and commentator. His wit and jokes far surpass any contribution that Artie gives on rare occasions. Artie’s addition to the show is limited, somewhat like his stand-up act. He’s gained nearly 100 lbs. since joining the show. If not for that, he’d have nothing to add.

His obesity is only a symptom of his addictions and cavalier lifestyle. Artie misses more days on the air then anyone in the history of the show. He’s always seemingly sick. His recent heroin relapse and constant alcohol abuse have rendered him into a walking coma. Even when he is there, he’s asleep…..literally, asleep.

If there were a God, and God loved the Howard Stern Show, he’d have Artie overdose in a hotel room in Detroit and in the same instance, teach Jackie Martling to humble himself and his greed so that he can negotiate a contract like a civilized person.

For whatever reason, Daly is a fan favorite. But enough is enough. Why does the PGA insist on taking pity on a man that refuses to help himself. The exemptions need to stop. He’s non competitive when he plays and these exemptions are taking money out of the pockets and food off of the tables of hungry, talented PGA upstarts that want to be there.
Daly shows no discipline or respect for the game, or himself. His power, feel, and talent are unquestionable….but the indisciplined nature of his lack of practice and in his lifestyle are bad for the game of gentlemen. No more.
Get him help and keep him off of the golf course until he cleans up. Part of his healing will be working his way back up the Q-school or the Nationwide Tour in order to regain his tour card.

Don’t be the old guy in the club.  I’m not saying that you’re too old go out with the fellows for a few; watch the game, or even solo.  Make no mistake…go out until the day you die.  I even fully endorse the guy who chooses to not settle down or commit to a single woman.  By all means, stay single and continue on the quest for strange.  

However, don’t be the guy who’s trolling in the wrong waters.  We’ve all seen the guy who clearly doesn’t belong in the bar or club.  Take the time to know the mean age of places where you fish for pun-tang, and stay within 5 to 8 years of that number.  Once you’re ten years older than the girls in the club, you simply look desperate and creepy.  There come many a time in a guys life when he must take a step back and self-evaluate.  This is one of those times.  If you’re in your mid-thirties and a group of girls comes into a bar to celebrate one of their twenty first birthdays, you don’t belong in that bar.

Move on to a more suitable spot where 25 to 40 year old women go fishing for men their own age after their first marriages have failed.  This is like fishing with dynamite.  Guys…you can’t miss. 

Ernie Els, today, officially withdrew from Arnold Palmer’s prestigious Bay Hill Invitational tournament after 15 years of consecutive appearances.  Els sites fatigue as the reason.  He’s been playing a heavy schedule including stops on the European Tour and then joining the PGA for the Florida swing.

Els plans on taking time in Florida to work on his game and rest up for The Master’s, just 4 weeks away.  The withdrawal comes as a shock to the PGA tour and the field.  Els’s play has been erratic, to say the least.  Coming off of a win two weeks ago at the Honda Classic, followed by a missed cut last week at the PODS, the withdrawal follows suit of the unexpected from the Big Easy.

Inconsistent play like this can only lead to an early flight back to South Africa if Els doesn’t settle down his game put a leash on his mental battles going on within.
